Mixed Media, Ages 6-10
Young Artists will explore tools, techniques, and art history through a variety of art materials. Educational, creative, and playful lessons. Fall classes will be an exploration of mixed media with painting, drawing and fibers. In this ten week session students will play with positive and negative space as they create cyanotypes, develop drawing and painting techniques, and learn a variety of embroidery stitches. Weather permitting, there will be opportunities to explore the surrounding studio location to gain inspiration for our creations. Tea provided. Classes run October through June.

Clay Hand building, Tweens and Teens- Ages 10 and up
Students will explore tools, refine techniques, and investigate art history through the material of clay. Using kiln stoneware clay students will learn the art of hand building. Students begin the session with the basics of clay creating pinch pots, and coil pots. The later part of the session students will be creating more complex clay forms such as slab vessels and animals sculptures. Each students will have a sketchbook to work to record ideas and thoughts. Note: pick up of finished work may apply at a later date due to kiln firing. No class 10/31 and 11/28 .Classes run October through June.
